Faith
In Action - Volunteer Training & Orientation |
Carroll
County Neighbors Helping Neighbors (CCNHN) was
founded in July 2005 as a mission to support a
volunteer network of individuals desiring to put
their FAITH IN ACTION. These volunteers help to meet
the non-medical needs of Carroll County residents
with a long-term chronic condition - especially
older adults living alone. Volunteers can make
friendly visits, give daily telephone reassurance,
perform light housekeeping, provide transportation
to medical appointments, do light errands and
shopping, or make small household repairs or
improvements.
A one-hour Initial Orientation and Training is
required for all new FAITH IN ACTION Carroll County
Neighbors Helping Neighbors service volunteers.
Training sessions are held throughout the year at
several different locations in Carroll County. After
training, volunteers are matched with a
pre-registered care recipient to provide
companionship and/or light assistance.
If you want to put your FAITH IN ACTION, this
volunteer service program is for you!
We encourage all interested individuals and
organizations to come to a training session to get
involved in volunteering, or just to find out more.
Make time to help someone in need. A neighbor's
independence depends on you.

sessions, or for more information about FAITH IN
