Americans for
Non-Smokers Rights
www.no-smoke.org.
Some consider ANR to
be the most
effective national
tobacco control
organization in the
U.S., one that Big
Tobacco genuinely
fears. ANR helps
local tobacco
control groups, such
as ours, to promote
smoke-free policies
and to fight Big
Tobacco. This site
is a treasure trove
of practical
information and
advice, one example
of which is ANR's
the pamphlet for
restaurant owners.
- The American Legacy Foundation is a an organization dedicated to building a world where young people reject tobacco and anyone can quit. The Foundation develops programs that address the health effects of tobacco use.
- Legacy Tobacco Documents Library -
"The Legacy Tobacco Documents Library contains more than 8 million documents (43+ million pages) created by major tobacco companies related to their advertising, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and scientific research activities."
-
Colorado GASP: www.gaspforair.org.
This is one of the
best sites promoting
local clean indoor
air. Their series of
newsletters for
restaurant owners
(under 'Ads &
Printed Materials')
was the inspiration
for the SFBC
Coalition’s
“Baltimore County
Restaurant Education
Project.”
