1. YOU can write
“Letters to the
Editors”: This is
still a very
effective forum for
reaching many of
your friends and
neighbors. Include
your full name,
address and contact
information with
both day and evening
phone numbers and
preferably cell
number (make it easy
for them to find
you). Keep your
letter brief.
Include a specific
realistic and
productive
suggestion or
request of the
readers or editors
in your letter.
Also, try to adhere
to the message that
Secondhand Smoke
causes a major
health risk to non
smokers, who are the
majority in Carroll
County. Note: The
Carroll County Times
published an
editorial position
in January 2007
supporting
legislation to
eliminate the risk
exposure and
supporting Clean
Indoor Air
legislation by the
Maryland General
Assembly this
session. Please
include a thank you
note for their
leadership whenever
you can.
