 We
are thrilled to report that Party in the Park
2007 was a great success!!
This drug-, alcohol-, tobacco-, and violence-free
event attracted over 300 people and was attended by
children and people of all ages who were able to be
part of an avenue in which to we showcased the
talents, accomplishments & interests of our youth.
Attendees enjoyed such activities as a water launch,
a basketball 3-point challenge, a rock/volcano wall,
mini-golf, a crab launch game, a goblet toss game, a
soccer kick game, and an obstacle course. They were
able to make spin art projects, assist in creating a
mosaic, and create cards to be used through SKIT.
Music and entertainment was provided by 8 area bands
and organizations – Eblast!, The Doug Forrester
Band, Tri-Star Martial Arts, Remembering Yesterday,
State of the Arts Martial Arts Team, Woodbine
Hotline, Unity Dance Team, and The Matt McMullin
Band.
Volunteers are an integral part of this event and we
thank all who participated and gave of their time on
some way. THANK YOU!!!
