The process towards our VISION of a Healthier Carroll County will be a long term journey, led by people with positive attitudes and an appreciation for the traditions of quality living enjoyed for so long by our Carroll County forebears. It will be inclusive, collaborative, consistent, and it will deliver the desired result for generations yet to come, which are:

A True Community

• which promotes family values and connections,
• Partnership among organizations,
• locally available, accessible, affordable and integrated health education and services for all,
• safe activities which enhance mind, body and spirit
• and the empowerment of individual responsibility.

CCGH's annual Safe Kids day brings many partners together for our children.

We are just beginning to create that shared VISION. We will be looking for private and public sector organizations, for individuals and groups, for true partners willing to sign on to accomplishing that vision within an as yet to be determined time frame. We will want partners to identify the strategies that they can incorporate and effectively implement to address specific elements of our strategic plan for the next 3 years and beyond.

Benchmarks will be established and monitored for accountability to the community on our road to Health. Remember that ours is a broad definition of Health; not just the absence of disease, one that but speaks to the quality of life enjoyed by all who live, work or play in Carroll County, Maryland.
