Access to Health Care -

 Access to Health Care Measurable Objectives, FY 2004 – 2006

1.

Increase the percentage of eligible Carroll County residents enrolled in the Maryland Children’s Health Insurance Program (MCHIP). within FY 04 budget limitations.
2. Increase the numbers of people using MedBank assistance services.
3. Reduce financial barriers to health care.
4. a. Survey local employers to determine the percentage who offer Health insurance.
  b. Determine eligibility levels for public health insurance for our county.
5. Increase health care service and provider options
  a. Support efforts to expand the community clinic currently operating at the Carroll County Health Department.
  b. Assemble lists of local dental, vision, behavioral health and Medicare/Medicaid providers who provide service to low-income / uninsured.
