Organizational Mission & Vision:

Most people starting out on a journey to a specific destination begin by mapping out their route.  They plan what they hope to see and do when they arrive.  Sometimes it’s easier to describe what The Partnership corporation is not:  not really about health care, but instead, about HEALTH; not direct service providers, but facilitators; not funders, but often leveraging our funds with those of others; not a hospital, health department or county operated agency, but one that is community based.

Our mission is unique, growing out of our vision of a healthier community and the values and principles of our founding organizations. As an organization,

In our brief history, work has already been done on issues of major importance.  Relationships have already been built that establish our relevance to this community and, indeed, changes have occurred.  New language such as “indicators”, “outcomes measurement”, “consensus”, and “partnerships”, have become comfortable to many.  New resources from grants and contributions have fueled our progress.  New systems that emphasize volunteerism, a focus on families and compassion for the most frail and vulnerable, have been established.  And, a new understanding about health, as it happens in and by communities, has begun.
