Positive Youth & Family Development -
Teen Scene...Keeping it Green, hosted by The Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County, Inc., was a success despite the rainy morning on May 10. The skies cleared by noon, after which many young participants were w elcomed to the event.
Being part of the Westminster Flower & Jazz Festival, we had a variety of youth attend to enjoy this event in an alcohol-, tobacco-, drug- and violence-free environment. Activities for the day included a nature photography show and contest, an inflatable climbing volcano, beach scopes, carnival games, making projects using recycled materials, interactive exhibits, prizes and much more. Music was provided by The Matt McMullin and Skies Over Sullivan Band.
Winners in the Nature Photography Contest were:
Ages 11-14
1st Place – Alexandra Petenbrink
2nd Place – Krystal Crossland
3rd Place – Krystal Crossland
